The Story

An olfactory tribute to Cléo de Mérode, hailed as "the most beautiful woman in the world" by L'Illustration in 1896, this Parisian of aristocratic origin, who was a model and dancer, spent decades on pointe shoes from the age of eight when she joined the Paris Opera Ballet. By thirteen, she had already posed for artists such as Edgar Degas, Jean-Louis Forain, and Toulouse-Lautrec, among others. Her beauty was immortalized by the best photographers of the time, selling millions of postcards worldwide, establishing her as a precursor to the modern celebrity, and anticipating the rise of the movie star in the 1910s.

Top Notes: Green Apple, Hyacinth, Lilac, Bergamot
